JalSevak (जलसेवक) Solutions LLP is an Indian startup established in 2016. JalSevak greywater recycling solution recycles wastewater from bathrooms, sinks, cloth washing and dish-washing and uses it for the purpose of flushing toilets and urinals. This innovative product has low installation and maintenance costs and provides sustainable and environmental-friendly on-site solution to improve sanitation. Recycling greywater not only conserves up to 40% fresh water and improves sanitation, it also reduces sewage production by an equal amount. In comparison to power-guzzling district-level sewage treatment plants, JalSevak greywater solution is compact and has minimal operating and maintenance cost.
Sanitation situation is especially severe in poor and resource-challenged sections of the society where residents have to prioritize use of limited fresh water and flushing toilets takes low priority. Reusing greywater generated from bathing and washing activities for toilet flushing can drastically improve this scenario. JalSevak greywater solution is scalable and can be erected in any place where greywater is produced (apartments, chawls, hostels, public baths etc). Thus this solution is truly ‘inclusive’ in the sense it equally benefits all constituents of the society.
